About SKARDU

Skardu, along with Gilgit, is a major tourism, trekking and expedition hub in Gilgit–Baltistan. The mountainous terrain of the region, which includes four of the world\'s 14 Eight-thousander peaks, attracts tourists, trekkers and mountaineers from around the world .

There are many ways to reach Skardu but the easiest way is by taking a flight from Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. There are daily flights from Islamabad to Skardu, and the journey takes around one hour. Another option is to take a road trip from Islamabad to Skardu, which takes around 22 hours

K2 is situated in Gilgit-Baltistan Region of Pakistan. The exact height of the peak is 8,611 meters/28,251 ft. The K2 peak is situated on the Pak-China border in the mighty Karakoram Range. The traditional route to its base camp goes from Skardu, which is linked with Islamabad by a good road.

K2 -- the second-highest mountain in the world -- Broad peak, Gasherbrum, and Nanga Parbat. Four of these peaks are located in Skardu, while Nanga Parbat lies in the Diamer district of the Himalayas in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The stunning scenery will leave you breathless. Snow-capped peaks pierce the sky as far as the eye can see. Glaciers and rivers cut through the landscape. Lakes like Satpara and Shangrila are pristine, their deep blue waters reflecting the majestic mountains above

The best time to visit Skardu is summer from June to September. It\'s the optimal time to enjoy lush green landscapes at comfortable temperatures without much rainfall and escape from the suffocating heat in other parts of Pakistan.
