Travelers can aply for evisa online and recieve electronic travel authrozation in PDF format. Upon arrival in Sri Lanka travelers can show the printed copy of the visa letter and get their passport stamped. 

Sri Lanka Goverment offers eVisa for Tourism & Business Purpose. The visa type, visa duration & number of entry depends on nationality of the applicants and fixed.  Applicants are advised to obtain Sri Lanka evisa online before travelling to srilanka. E-Visa process is completly online and no paperwork is required. Once Sri Lanka e-visa is approved it will be sent via email. Applicants have to carry a printed copy of the approved e-visa letter and passport while travelling. Visa letter will be verified by Sri Lanka officer at the airport and passport will be stamped.

Sri Lanka ETA is valid for 90 Days or 30 Day depending on type of applicaiton selected. Applicants can obtain approved Sri Lanka ETA in 2-3 days.   • Once eVisa is approved, remember to verify all information. Information on the visa letter should match excatly as on the passport.
  • Carry a printed copy of the eVisa letter while travelling along with passport.
  • Passport should have 6 months validity form the date of arrival.
  • Entry before arrival date is not permitted however travelers can enter Sri Lanka on date during 180 Days Visa validity.

 

All applicants from eligible country can apply for Sri Lanka visa if they have passport which is valid for minimum 6 months from the date of arrival. Passport must have 2 blank pages. 

In some cases Digital passport photo is required. Photo must have plain background and can be taken using phone or any camera.

Image of the bio page of the passport is required to ensure all details on the visa letter is correct to avoid issues on arrival;


Only in case of business visa, immigration team might ask for business invitation-letter or Buiness card.


Travelers will be denied entry in case they do not provide either a negtive PCR test or Vaccination Certificate.
